Just got back from enjoying their Sunday lunch. I had the beef and my partner had the nut roast. Delicious food and great service! They've done a really excellent refurbishment of the place!
After refurbishment we had a smashing lunch and a good look round the venue. The landlord Luke, couldn't have been more accommodating and the staff were excellent also! We plumbed for fish and chips which was an excellent choice as it turned out! The fish was huge and well cooked, the chips were chunky and crisp, the best I have has in a very long time. We will try out their Steak night next!
Just popped in to look at the refurbishment and was tempted by the bar snacks. The food was lovely and the atmosphere was very friendly and cosy. We shall definitely return to sample the main menu.

First visit since the refurbishment. Opened again a few days ago. Nice ambience, spacious (walls knocked down from previously) nice furnishings, at least one log burner, cosy, three or four TVs showing sport. Handy displays showing live train information for the nearby station. Heineken influenced, the usual array of exotic lager (all brewed in the UK of course so not exotic ) but thankfully, three cask ales on hand pumps. I had Hobgoblin, very good. Food nice, feels expensive (but only as everywhere else). Full menu starts soon.
Absolutely love the new look, food was amazing and staff are friendly and helpful. Best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had! Will definitely be visiting again!
Was there for a meeting tonight and well looked after. A massive improvement on what the Railway has been for a good number of years, staff friendly and the new licencee is knowledgeable and keen to make the place even better, with some exciting new ideas . The beer is well kept and serves up well too
The place looks great after the refurbishment. All of the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Nice atmosphere. Breakfast is very tasty with generous portions, will be back.
